In episode 7 my old friends Rupinder Brar and Joanna Woo join me to talk about the methods through which astronomers detect the existence of extrasolar planets. To help keep us in line and on time, we’ve invited Ryan North of Dinosaur comics. FANTASTIC!

  1. Great show! The first one I listened to! LMAO!
Oh, btw, for all the nerds and geeks out there ‘M’ class isn’t a human classification from Star Trek. It’s actually Vulcan.

  2. A week later, the headline count of ptneals in other star systems has jumped to 645 ptneals around other stars. That’s now 528 planetary systems of which 76 are multiple planet systems.
