Do the laws of physics differ going forwards in time from backwards in time?

Do the laws of physics work differently for matter and antimatter?

Our guest this week is exceptional! It’s Patrick McHale, the creator of my favourite cartoon ever “Over the Garden Wall“.  Follow Patrick on Twitter, or on Tumblr.

  1. I just want point out that a reflection does not trade right for left. It trades froward for backward. That is why text looks flipped left and right but not top and bottom. Nothing actually flips. The text moves forward through the mirror and so we see it in a sense from behind.

  2. wonderful way of putting it.
when we say “trade left for right” this is usually shorthand for “right-hands look like left-hands” in a mirror.
